New Scholarships, A Focus on the Future at the USA Water Ski & Wake Sports Foundation

The USA Water Ski & Wake Sports Foundation is focused on making an impact in 2021.  Our mission of preserving the past the through the Water Ski & Wake Sports Hall of Fame and supporting the future with our scholarship program has never been more important than right now.

In 2020, the Foundation gave away more than $25,000 in college scholarships to water sports student-athletes.  This year is going to be bigger and better with two new scholarships!

Dawn Itin Goode has established the Dave Goode Scholarship to honor her husband Dave to award a scholarship to the AWSA and NCWSA skiers from the Midwest Region that are pursuing a degree in Engineering or Mathematics. Dave was the founder and president of Goode Ski Technologies. He used his innovative engineering techniques to build carbon fiber slalom skis that revolutionized the industry.

The Florida Water Ski Federation is making an investment in the future of three-event water ski student-athletes with a new $1,000 college scholarship.  The Scholarship is open to three-event water ski athletes who compete in the Florida State Water Ski Championships and are currently registered students in a college or university.
